Week 3 Waiver Wire Pickups
The second week is behind us now. How is your fantasy team doing? Do you need some help with your roster? Check out these players who should be available on the waiver wire.
Derek Carr, QB, Oakland Raiders, 10.5% owned
Carr had a breakout game against the Baltimore Ravens, throwing for 351 yards and 3 touchdowns with just 1 interception. He injured his thumb in week 1, but it does not seem to have affected him this week. He had two receivers with 100+ yards receiving, Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree.
Carr will be under pressure against the Cleveland Browns, who sacked Marcus Mariota seven times in week 2. After that, they go to Chicago to face a Bears team that allowed Larry Fitzgerald to gain 112 yards and score three touchdowns on eight catches. Cooper and Crabtree could each have a big game that week.
Matt Jones, RB, Washington Redskins, 15.8% owned

Jones gained 123 yards and scored two touchdowns on 19 carries, racking up 27.6 points in week 2. Jones also caught three passes for 23 yards. He split the load pretty evenly with Alfred Morris (18 carries), but Jones more than doubled Morris’ yardage (123-54).
Jones may have some tough going against the New York Giants defense, but they said that about the week 2 matchup against the St. Louis Rams and he still gained 123 yards. Look for Jones to get more carries and more targets in the weeks to follow.
Travis Benjamin, WR, Cleveland Browns, 6.3% owned
http://gty.im/489330954
Benjamin announced his presence in a big way in week 2. He had three catches for 115 yards and two touchdowns, and he added six punt returns for 154 yards and another touchdown. He is a dynamic player that is starting to get into a groove with Johnny Manziel.
The Browns are facing an Oakland Raiders team in week 3 that is giving up more than 325 yards and 2 touchdowns per game, then they face a San Diego Chargers team in week 4 that has given up 447 yards and 5 touchdowns in two games. Benjamin should have some pretty solid numbers against those two teams.
Richard Rodgers, TE, Green Bay Packers, 13.8% owned
http://gty.im/489400768
Rodgers caught three passes for 23 yards and a touchdown, giving him 13.3 points for week 2. He is emerging as a viable option for Aaron Rodgers, which could get him more targets as the season goes on.
Next up for the Packers are the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, both of whom have given up over 500 yards in the first two weeks. This could point to a big week for Rodgers (the QB), which should get Rodgers (the TE) some targets, especially in the red zone.
