Valencia has been phenomenal as they captured their fourth consecutive victory, which has allowed them to sit in fourth place, one point behind third place Atlético Madrid and seven points ahead of fifth place Sevilla FC. With players like Alvaro Negredo, Dani Parejo, Pablo Piatti, Paco Alcacer, and Sofiane Feghouli, and so many others, Valencia has proven to La Liga teams that they are still alive in the title run and will do anything to secure a Champions League spot or even a Europa League spot.

Valencia faced David Moyes’ Real Sociedad on Sunday and were able to take another three points from a 2-0 score. Real Sociedad beat Sevilla last weekend, allowing Sevilla to fall behind in the top four spots and they hoped to do the same with Valencia but it was not enough for them to secure three points and fell behind to twelfth place.

Valencia saw themselves on the scoreboard in the second half of the match. Pablo Piatti was able to put Valencia up on the scoreboard early in the second half. With a pass from Dani Parejo, Piatti got the cross and went for goal. The ball bounced off midfielder Chory Castro, throwing off keeper Geronimo Rulli and allowing Piatti to get it inside the net.

Three minutes later. Piatti scored once again with beautiful work coming from Sofiane Feghouli. Feghouli went down the right flank of the field and passed the ball to the middle of the box, giving Piatti the opportunity to kiss the ball nicely inside the net and make it 2-0 against Real Sociedad.

The game ended with a 2-0 score and we saw Valencia secure the three points and get seven points ahead of fifth place. The man of the match goes to Pablo Piatti who scored both goals for his team with the help of Dani Parejo and Sofiane Feghouli. Valencia hopes to continue their run in La Liga when they face Atlético Madrid on Sunday and hopefully take the three points and take third place away from them. Meanwhile Real Sociedad will face Espanyol Sunday and will leave with three points ahead of that match.
