As Halloween approaches, so does the NFL’s mid season mark. With that being said the All Out Sports Network saw it fitting to take a look at the scariest teams going in to the second half of the season. Theses teams look to terrorize opponents and bring fear on a run to the post season.
5) Houston Texans 5-3
The Texans maybe the hottest team in football. They have won 5 straight including their latest dismantling of the Miami Dolphins. Therefore, it’s only right they would be one of the scariest to face going forward. There defense is so vicious it would give Jason Vorhees a run for his money. They rank in the top 10 in yards allowed as well as points scored. Furthermore, the offense is lead by Deshaun Watson a QB sure to put fear in even the toughest defenders.
4) Los Angeles Chargers 5-2
The Chargers have pro football’s version of Michael Myers in their QB Philip Rivers. The 15 year vet is as consistent as he is deadly. No matter how many strategies the defense implores the result is the same, straight carnage. Rivers has thrown for 17 TD and has 117.8 passer rating. This could be the year number 17 slashes his way to a championship.
3) New England Patriots 5-2
The Patriots have been blessed by what can only be described as the Dracula of QB’s. Tom Brady continues to prove his football immortality, while simultaneously sucking the life out of opposing defenses. Brady, has thrown 16 TD in over 68% passing. Furthermore, with the addition of Josh Gordon this is no doubt the scariest the Pats offense has been in years.
2) Kansas City Chiefs 6-1
Kansas City’s offense has been causing match up nightmares around the league. So much so you’d think Arrowhead relocated to Elm street. Led by second year sensation Patrick Mahomes the Chiefs are running roughshod over the AFC West. KC has the second highest point differential in the league at +78. Trailing only the LA Rams. With Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and Kareem Hunt at the skill positions, coach Andy Ried may have the scariest weapons in the league.
1) Los Angeles Rams 7-0
The Rams are nothing short of a Frankenstein’s Monster. With mad scientist Sean McVay running the offense Los Angeles has left a path of destruction through the NFL thus far this season. They are number 1 in point differential at a staggering +107. Furthermore, they also post the leagues top rushing attack led by the man beast Todd Gurley. Gurley has piled up 686 yards and 11 TD on the ground alone. The Rams are by far the scariest team going into the final 8 games of the season.
