Amid allegations of an investigation into a sexual assault accusation, EA Sports removed Chicago Blackhawks star winger Patrick Kane from the video game cover he was supposed to share with teammate Jonathan Toews.
Due to the serious nature and unknown timetable of the investigation, EA Sports decided it would be best to take the Blackhawks star off the cover if indeed charges are filed after the game’s September release date.

EA Sports is the first sponsor to release Kane from any involvement with the company.
The Blackhawks star is a part of a dynasty of three Stanley Cup victories in six years. He had a great season with 27 goals and 37 assists in 61 games with Chicago.
Here’s a look at the new NHL 16 solo cover. Good but not great, it’s a shame they couldn’t add another member of the dynasty to replace Kane, and Duncan Keith would’ve been a great fit.
