NHL Power Rankings - Nov. 3 - The All Out Sports Network

How the mighty have fallen in the past week. A shake up at the top of this weeks power rankings will have some teams scrambling to get back to the top. (last week)

1. Anaheim Ducks – 20 pts – (3)

11 goals in 13 games for Corey Perry sums up how their season is going. The mighty Ducks had a solid week on the road winning in Chicago, Dallas, and Colorado.

2. Montreal Canadiens – 17 pts – (2)

Rough week for the Canadiens. Still have high hopes that this team will get it turned around offensively. Buffalo on the schedule always helps.

3. Nashville Predators – 16 pts – (4)

Pekka Rinne has been on fire as of late. The real question who thought Filip Forsberg would be this good? The kid is a stud, 11 points in 11 games.

4. San Jose Sharks – 16 pts – (7)

The Sharks won 2/3 last week, but could have been perfect. They have one game at home, before going on a seven game east coast road trip.

5. Tampa Bay Lightning – 17 pts – (11)

Offense has been no problem for the Lightning to start the season. They have players scattered at the top of almost every statistical category.

6. Vancouver Canucks – 16 pts – (8)

Ryan Miller has put this team on his back, and they are poised to stay in the hunt out west.

7. Pittsburgh Penguins – 15 pts – (14)

Marc-Andre Fleury has a four game winning streak going. 3 shutouts and a 19-3 scoring differential has the Penguins the hottest in the NHL.

8. Calgary Flames – 16 pts – (10)

Coming off a solid weekend should have the Flames ready to continue this five game road trip.

9. Detroit Red Wings – 15 pts – (12)

Could’ve had a perfect week if they didn’t lose to Buffalo in a shootout. Justin Abdelkader is playing some solid hockey with 10 points in their first 11 games.

10. Los Angeles Kings – 14 pts – (1)

Terrible road trip so far for the Champs. 0-3-1 with some questionable losses has the Kings reeling. Thank god this road trip ends tonight.

11. Boston Bruins – 14 pts – (13)

Extending Claude Julien was much needed to keep this team at the top of East. Even with all their injuries it’s hard to write off the B’s on any given night.

12. Minnesota Wild – 14 pts – (17)

3.40 goals a game so far. Nothing but upside for this team who will continue to rise up the rankings.

13. Chicago Blackhawks – 13 pts – (6)

Crawford has come back from his injury and has yet to win. 2.25 goals a game, this offense is ice cold.

14. St. Louis Blues – 13 pts – (19)

Four straight wins for the injury filled Blues. Back to back games to start the week isn’t ideal in this situation.

15. New Jersey Devils – 14 pts – (16)

The Devils have bounced back nicely from their four game losing streak. Gotta win this home and home against the Blues to keep momentum rolling.

16. Toronto Maple Leafs – 13 pts – (23)

Three wins a row, can the Leafs continue into this week? 3/4 on the road this week may send them back to reality.

Solid road trip for the Jets taking 7/8 points on their East coast trip. They come home for two games, before heading out for another five game trip.

Be more up and down Islanders, you can’t. Win four, lose two, win two, lose three. Cannot get a read on this team, so I’m back to the preseason hate of the Islanders.

19. Colorado Avalanche – 11 pts – (22)

Out-shot in 9 of 13 games, the Avalanche have to figure out how to get the puck to the net. Also have to figure out overtime and shootouts, they have yet to win one in extra time (0-5).

20. Washington Capitals – 10 pts – (9)

Just when things look good s**t hits the fan. 4/5 at home coming up is a perfect way for Ovi to change the tide.

21. Dallas Stars – 12 pts – (15)

0-2-2 in their last four, and with a tough schedule this week Lindy Ruff will have to rally the troops to climb back up the rankings.

22. Ottawa Senators – 12 pts – (18)

Just like the team above, the Sens started the season hot, but have cooled off as of late (1-2-2). Good thing they return to the Canadian Tire Centre for four games.

23. New York Rangers – 11 pts – (21)

Not used to seeing King Henrik give up 3.00 goals a game. Doesn’t help that Ryan McDonagh is out for 3-4 weeks. It may be a rough few weeks for the boys in blue.

24. Florida Panthers – 11 pts – (27)

Have the Panthers finally figured it out? Points in their last six games and only giving up 1.89 goals per game. The Panters may be on the fast track up the rankings.

25. Philadelphia Flyers – 10 pts – (24)

Can win against Los Angeles, Detroit, and Pittsburgh, but can’t beat the Florida teams. Four in a row at home could get the Flyers back on track.

8.5% chance of drafting Connor McDavid.

27. Edmonton Oilers – 9 pts – (28)

9.5% chance of drafting Connor McDavid.

11.5% chance of drafting Connor McDavid.
