With a couple of weeks in the 2017 MLB season remaining, Major League Baseball players get closer to achieving milestones for their careers. Out of the common milestones that have taken place this season, the 300 home run club has the most new inductees.
What is the 300 Club?
For everyone who does not know what the 300 home run club is, the club is players who have hit over 300 home runs in their career. There are currently 144 players who are in this club. Most recently, Ryan Braun from the Milwaukee Brewers hit his 300th career home run last Friday night. So now let’s introduce the players who hit their 300th home run this season.
Matt Holliday
On May 3rd, Matt Holliday hit his 300th career home run at Yankee Stadium against the Toronto Blue Jays. For his career, Holiday has a .299 career average and has over 2,000 hits. Holliday has played for the Rockies, Cardinals, Athletics, and now the New York Yankees in his career.
Curtis Granderson

Curtis Granderson hit his 300th career home run for the New York Mets on June 14th against the Chicago Cubs at Citi Field. While playing for the Tigers, Yankees, Mets, and now the Dodgers, Granderson has over 1,600 hits in over 1,700 games.
Nelson Cruz

As a member for the Seattle Mariners, Nelson Cruz hit his 300th home run at Safeco Field against the Oakland Athletics on July 7th. Cruz has been known for being one of the most feared hitters in the game. Cruz has spent his career playing for the Brewers, Orioles, Rangers, and Mariners. In 13 seasons, Cruz has a career batting average of .276 and over 1,400 hits in 1,407 games played.
Ryan Braun

Unlike the other 3 newest members of the 300 home run club, Ryan Braun has spent his entire career with one team, the Milwaukee Brewers. On September 9th, against the Chicago Cubs in Wrigley Field, Braun would hit his 300th career home run. While playing in 1,442 games, Braun has a .302 career batting average with 300 home runs and over 1,600 hits.
