NBA Finals Game 3
Golden State @ Cleveland
Game Summary
Wednesday night’s game 3 contest between the Cavs and Warriors came down to one thing the ascension of Kevin Durant. LeBron James was excellent KD was a monster. James put up a valiant effort as he scored 33 points. However it wasn’t enough to stop the onslaught of long range bombs and mid range daggers by Durant. Durant had 43 points, a finals record for him. Furthermore Cleveland actually got s serviciable performance from their supporting cast. Kevin Love had an impressive double double, it was just rendered irrelevant by the Easy Money Sniper.
After a late Warriors run cut the lead to one the two teams proceeded to step on the gas and trade buckets. That is until miss shots and defensive lapse allowed the Warriors to take the lead for good after consecutive Curry and Durant 3’s. What made it even more heartbreaking for the Cavs is that Steph Curry was 1/9 from deep at time. They leave him open on a switch and he buries not only the shot but the Cavs season.
Cavs Outplayed Late
As far as the positives for the Cavaliers goes there were many. They finally made open shot after open shot but Kevin Durant was not to be denied. He shot about as well as humanly possible making 15 of 23 shots. Including a dagger late to put the Warriors up 6. Kyle Korver did next to nothing again managing only a single 3 point basket. Cleveland better hope for a miracle or this thing is over come Friday night.
Final Score Warriors 110 Cavs 102
