NBA Conference Finals Game 6 Recaps

The Cavs Cruise past the Celtics as The Warriors Whoop the Rockets

Both NBA conference final series have surpassed their expectations after a couple of huge game 6’s. Both the Celtics and Rockets had  a golden opportunity to move on to the NBA finals with a victory. However at the end of the night neither team would be able to punch their ticket. In the end both games would have results that wouldn’t shock anyone.

Game Summary

Biggest factor of Friday nights battle between the Cavs and Celtics was undoubtedly the performance of LeBron James and George Hill who had 20 big points. LeBron James. had just enough back up from his teammates this time, and his 46 points was more than enough to keep the Cavs season alive. The Celtics defense was horrendous in the second half, never being able to close the gap to make a serious run at winning the game. Furthermore the Cavs were able to persevere without the help of Allstar Kevin Love. Love left the game early with a head injury that put him in the concussion protocol and out for game 7.

Game Summary

Two words are all that is needed to sum up this crucial match up. Those two words were Splash Brothers. The Golden State sharpshooters were on point all night long and blew the Rockets off the court.  Steph Curry scored 29 points and convincingly outplayed  James Harden while his counter part Klay Thompson had 35 including 9 3’s. Harden had 32 points but it was the absence of Chris Paul that made the biggest impact on Houston’s performance. Without a consistent second threat the Rockets just couldn’t keep up with the defending champs. As for the Warriors quite simply played their best stifling defense in the fourth quarter, limiting Houston to only 9 points. Furthermore they were impressive defensively even without former Finals MVP Andre Iguodala.

Final Score

Houston 86 – Golden State 115
