Ever since his $134 million summer transfer, fans questioned the the cost it took to bring him to the Spanish capital. they questioned if he was worth every penny. In the beginning of the season, he was limited to little playing time as he was returning from injury. It took a while but the Welsh Winger has adapted not just La Liga but to Real Madrid as well.
Even though he began his career as a Left-Back, he has become one of the worlds strongest and quickest Winger with lethal finishing. Bale is excellent going forward, while having a goal-scoring touch, he is comfortable with the ball and he likes raiding the left flank to provide great crosses on the run and is also very dangerous with free-kicks. Even though he began his career as a defender, he looks so unschooled in the arts of defending that he now plays predominantly as a left winger.
This season, he has 25 appearances in La Liga netting 14 goals and 12 assists. He has made 10 appearances in the UEFA Champions League scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists. He made 5 appearances in Copa Del Rey scoring one goal which was the winning goal of the final against Barcelona. Marc Bartra tried to stop him by pushing him of the field but Bale just came back in reminding everyone just how fast he can be and finishing by scoring between Pinto’s legs.
Gareth Bale has established himself along side Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema as one of the most lethal attacking forces in the world of football. Being called the BBC (Bale, Benzema, Cristiano), there excellent chemistry and lethal finishing has began conquering teams throughout Spain and Europe. It took a while but Bale has adapted to Real Madrid and continues to grow in form every game. Real Madrid Should consider keeping him throughout the years as he can continue to become one of Europe’s most powerful finishers. He is the future of Real Madrid.
Ex-Tottenham Manager Harry Redknapp said this about Gareth Bale, “There can’t be a better left-sided player anywhere. If he were English he’d be going to the World Cup now, that’s for sure. He can play left-back or wide left in midfield, he’s six foot and has great a physique. He can run all day, has an unbelievable left foot, has skill and his heading is top-class – he can do everything.”
