UPDATE: 6:33 PM

Jhonas Enroth will start in net for Buffalo. Ryan Miller and Steve Ott are late (very late) scratches for tonight’s game in Buffalo. Stay Tuned if there is breaking news out of Buffalo.

The latest news out of Buffalo isn’t good for Sabres fans.

Sabres GM Tim Murray, reportedly asked defenseman Christian Ehrhoff, to list eight teams where he would not like to be traded. Ehrhoff has a limited no-trade clause in his current contract, and can veto a trade if proposed.

“They obviously want to be prepared come trade deadline,” Ehrhoff said. “We’ll see where it will take us.”

Ehrhoff signed a 10-year, $40 million contract with the Sabres during the summer of 2011 that contained the limited no-trade clause.

This comes just days after Murray basically said goaltender Ryan Miller was on his way out. The same night Murray sweet talked his captain Steve Ott.

“Steve Ott is the type of player that I’ve looked for for 21 years,” Murray said Tuesday night following the Sabres win.

My guess is Murray has offers for Ott, not the deal Murray wants, so he’s trying to stir up the pot a bit.

With under a week until the trade deadline, all indications are Buffalo will be making some headline moves. Miller, Moulson, Ott, and now Ehrhoff all have a good shot at being dealt by the deadline.

Now we are just play the waiting game, waiting to see where these guys end up.

Miller will be in net tonight for what could be his final start in Buffalo. The Sabres host San Jose tonight at First Niagara Center.
