Take a look at what the newest Juventus signing brings to the table for the black and white squad:
A Fresh Face
Gianluigi Buffon left for France’s Paris Saint Germain last week. It is no secret the veteran goalkeeper has left some pretty big shoes to fill in terms of experience. Who else could fill in those shoes other than CR7?
Ronaldo has arrived in a pivotal moment for Juventus as the teams needs a new leader on the field. He arrived just in time to fill in the gap. Alongside the other experienced veterans in the team such a s Mario Mandzukic, Gonzalo Higuain and Claudio Marchisio, they make for a pretty solid backbone for the team.
The Road To Glory
Serie A has not been much of a hassle for Juventus. They have captured seven straight league titles with relative ease. Despite their home success, Juventus has fallen short in regards to continental competitions. They have reached the UEFA Champions league final twice in the past five years and have come out empty handed in both occasions.
Not only that, but the UEFA Europa League has alluded them as well. Cristiano Ronaldo could be what they needed all this time. As the Champions League all time scorer (121 goals), he will most likely score whenever a goal is required. La Vecchia Signora has found her weapon of choice.
No Rest For The Wicked
Ronaldo is no normal soccer player. Much like Lionel Messi, age seems irrelevant for the Portuguese winger. However, despite his age, he is in middle of what looks to be the best shape his career. He won the Euro Cup in 2016 and has won three straight Champions Leagues with Real Madrid. Not to mention, he was having a solid World Cup until Portugal came up short against Uruguay.
Now 33, he will reach the end of his new contract at the age of 37. Given the pace at which he is playing, his move to Juventus could cement a career for the history books.
Juventus alongside Ronaldo could really take the soccer world by storm this upcoming season.
