Barcelona put one foot in the final after defeating Villarreal 3-1 in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semifinal.
Jonathan and Giovani Dos Santos featured from the start, but an injury in the second half saw Jonathan leave the match with an apparent injury.
It was Barcelona took the lead through a Lionel Messi goal in the 41st minute.
Manuel Trigueros equalized for the visitors, but a quick reply from Andres Iniesta regave the Catalans the lead.
Villarreal never recovered, and Gerard Pique made it 3-1 with 25 minutes to go.
Neymar had a chance to put things at 4-1 from the penalty spot, but his spot kick was saved by the Villarreal goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, in the other match, Hector Moreno played all 90 minutes as Espanyol grabbed a valuable away goal in their 1-1 draw against Athletic Bilbao.
Aduriz had given the hosts the early lead, but Victor Sanchez equalized ten minutes from the break.
Both semifinals will resume in March for the second leg.
