The Belgian side look ahead of the World Cup as one of the favorites to advance in their respective group. Its seems like Belgium are entering a new golden generation as more players are becoming recognized on club level. With new stars such as: Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne, Thibaut Curtois, and Romelu Lukaku to name a few, have been coming up through the ranks in their respective clubs and have been impressing ever since coming into the spotlight. These young guns will add to the already established Belgian side which have many attacking options as well as tenacious and resilient defenders led by Vincent Kompany from Premier league Champions, Manchester City. Belgium have all the right ingredients to make a great contender for the World Cup but lacking experience on the games biggest stage could be their biggest fault.

The twelfth FIFA ranked national side will be led by Belgian legend, Marc Wilmots. In his side, Wilmots is featuring a squad that has both experience and youth, which create a dynamic and yet disciplined style to his team. Most of the players in his side currently are playing in the Premier league, which is arguably the best European league. This national side has the potential to be the shock of the tournament as they should manage to get out of the group stage considering all the talent they have to win the group against Algeria, Russia, and Korea Republic. Granted if they are able to succeed in qualifying into the knockout stages, playing against other top teams will truly test the vigor and depth that the team have already shown in qualifying for the tournament itself.

One must also take into consideration that this Belgium side have little experience on the Worlds biggest stage and could be a factor on how they are able to handle the pressure of everyone watching them. Regardless of their experience, they have have the right elements to go far in this tournament, which is why they have the potential to surprise the everyone in this World Cup that is only days away from kickoff.
