Paris Saint-Germain F.C. took on AS St. Etienne in the Coupe de France semi-final on Wednesday at Parc des Princes. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his 100th goal for PSG but the headline is much different as he also scored is 101st and 102nd goal, adding up to a hat trick for the Swedish super star. PSG went on to win the match 4-1.
The first goal for Ibrahimovic came off a penalty kick in the 21st minute that was called after Francois Clerc pulled down Ezequiel Lavezzi.
Romain Hamouma leveled things up for St. Etienne shortly afterwards off of a free kick on the 25th minute.
After the break, Ezequiel Lavezzi took the lead back for the home squad with a beautiful header off of a cross to the far post. Lavezzi sent the ball back to the opposite post, going right over the goalkeeper.
The clincher came in the 81st minute as Ibrahimovic went on a breakway and come up with a world class finish. This made made it a 3-1 score in favor of PSG.
The PSG was not finished as he tacked on one more goal to complete the hat trick. The final goal came on the second minute of injury time. Ibrahimovic evaded two defenders and sent a left footed shot inside of the 18-yard box towards the near post.
With the victory, PSG sets up a meeting with Auxerre on Saturday for the Coupe de France title.
