World Cup Preview: Croatia, Marco Fabian, and Raul Jimenez

Croatia- The reason why Croatia won’t make it to the next round is simple, they can’t play well as a team. They tied against rival Switzerland on a 2-2 game. More friendly games are scheduled for Croatia, but to me they haven’t surprised me yet. Croatia finished 3rd in the World Cup in 1998, but this isn’t 1998, this is 2014 where teams like Spain and Germany are favorites to win the cups. Croatia isn’t a big team only appearing 4 times in the world cup, they failed to qualify in 2010 after finishing 3rd place in their group behind England and Ukraine, but don’t get me wrong, Croatia can pull it off this year if they preform the same as in 2006.

Marco Fabian- I especially laugh when someone said, “he’ll be lucky enough to be warm up.” Marco Fabian has gone through a lot especially with media after getting drunk at a bar and inviting strippers in his hotel and fighting with the directors of Chivas, it wasn’t easy for him going to Cruz Azul from Chivas, but it was a change he needed, he preformed better with Cruz Azul than with Chivas, he reached back to his old self again. If he wasn’t that good why would Miguel Herrera put him in the list? He has proven that he can do a lot more. He gives his all on the field when other players decide to give up, in fact I do dare to say that he is way better than Javier Hernandez aka Chicharito.

Raul Jimenez- Jimenez has proven why he should be in the Mexican National Team, in 2013 he won championship with Club America, he has the speed Mexico National team needs, he has potential and is a young rising star. Have you all forgotten that beautiful bicycle kick he scored against Panama? He’s a guy that can score unlike Chicharito and/or Giovanni Dos Santos. Are you are also forgetting that he scored a hat trick against Santos Laguna? In my opinion Raul and Marco will be a great mixture if they are put together. If they are who know’s what mexico might be capable of doing.

Fun Facts about Croatia:  Founded in 1912 only appeared in the world cup in 1998, 2002, 2006, and in 2014.

Croatia first appearance in the world cup was in 1998 getting 3rd place after defeating Netherlands 2-1.

i totally 100% agree with you fabian an jimenez together will dominate thats what ive been waiting for. I dont no why they wont give jimenez more time cause jaiver hernandez aka chicharito sucks! jimenez is a way better player an with fabian in the field who knows what mexico could do. Miguel Herrera needs to think about putting them to together in the field.
