The Spanish League is almost at an end, and with the thrill, we can see Ronaldo playing his best soccer while Lionel Messi is struggling to either renew his contract with Barcelona or not. Keep in mind that both players are crucial for their National Teams. If Ronald gets injured, it would be such a disappointment for Portugal that needs the “Best Player In The World”, because without his speed and talent, Portugal won’t go far this year. As for Lionel Messi, Argentina needs his skills and knowledge because without it, Argentina would be doomed.
Now, as both are in their current teams (Ronaldo with Real Madrid and Messi with Barcelona) it is clear to me that both men are giving their all on the field. Since Real Madrid has one championship to dispute, one would wonder if he can do it all. With less than 40 days to go for the World Cup, one can imagine how tired these two players will be arriving to the World Cup.
Messi is considered the best player for so many fans, conquering La Copa de Rey, Balon D’Or, scoring 91 goals in a year, first footballer ever to score consecutively against all teams in a professional league, the list goes on. While Ronaldo has the record for being the most expensive player and scoring fast goals in the league. Ronaldo wants it all. His last injury in his knee and thigh muscle let him miss the final against Barcelona, you would start to wonder if Ronaldo is actually 100 percent, while he may show that he is back to his form one must think if he’s not playing with the injury like he did a couple of months ago where he had the same knee problem and yet he chose to still play. In the other hand Messi just wants to prove the world why he is the top player and a smart one too, his latest injury on the femoral biceps on his left leg let him out for two months knowing that he wasn’t 100 percent he chose not to play and sit in the bench, he stated, ” When the body tells me I’m fine”, meaning he did not want to rush his injury.
Both players are high stars and we see that for a fact they leave everything in the field, they will sacrifice their bodies just for their team to win a huge game or a final. With both players on their national teams, one must think who will go furthest. Will it be Argentina or Portugal? If both teams crash in the World Cup, the world might see another Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo conversation arise. In my opinion, both men will be ready for the World Cup and they will leave everything on the field. Do you guys think that Messi and Ronaldo will be at 100% for the World Cup? Can you imagine the World Cup without Ronaldo nor Messi?
