The UEFA Champions League Quarterfinal round came to an end on Wednesday night and saw four teams advance to the Semi-finals round that will be taking place in the beginning of May. Four teams look to see who will be playing in the final on June 6th in Berlin, Germany and lift the UEFA Champions League trophy and take a place to play in the FIFA Club World Cup hosted in Japan on December of 2015.

FC Barcelona went up against Paris Saint-Germain in the quarterfinals round and all votes were taken on PSG to win the second leg of the round and kick out Barcelona out of the tournament. There was not enough effort though from the french club as we saw them leave the tournament early. Barcelona came in strong and won the first leg 3-1 with goals from Luis Suarez and Neymar for Barcelona and Gregory Van Der Weil for PSG. It looked like PSG would of been able to win the second leg with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva back in their starting XI lineup, but it still didn’t help as Neymar was able to get two goals in the second leg and see Barcelona advance to the semi-finals with a 2-0 win.

Real Madrid went up against Atletico Madrid and we saw another Madrid Derby take place for the seventh and eight time this season. Atletico Madrid entered the quarterfinals round unbeatable against Real Madrid in all meetings and were looking to do the same this time around, but Real Madrid did not give up on taking the win in the second leg. Atletico Madrid went down to 10 men in the second leg with Arda Turan being sent off and gave Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez the opportunity to score the only goal of the game. Real Madrid were able to finally beat their city rivals on a must win night to advance to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Juventus FC went one on one against AS Monaco and there was not much in their matchup. Juventus held AS Monaco to a 1-0 win in aggregate scores. Arturo Vidal was the only one to score in the first leg and played a scoreless match in the second leg and advance to the semi-finals for the first time since the 2002-2003 season. Gigi Buffon also sees his first semi-finals in 12 years for the UEFA Champions League competition. It will be a historic event for Juventus as they try to seek a spot in the final round.

Bayern Munich faced a very strong FC Porto in the quarterfinals round. The first leg belong to the Portuguese team as they were able to win 3-1 with goals from Quaresma and Jackson Martinez and Thiago Alcantara pulling one back for Bayern Munich. FC Porto were the favorites to win and advance to the semi-finals but Pep Guardiola and his men did not give up as they came in stronger in the second leg. With goals from Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller, Thiago Alcantara, Jerome Boateng and Xabi Alonso and Jackson Martinez for FC Porto, Bayern was able to advance with a 6-1 win. It was a bad night for Porto as they came in confident but let their emotions take over as they were not able to hold Bayern to a loss.

FC Barcelona, FC Bayern Munich, Real Madrid CF, and Juventus FC have a spot in the semi-finals and await to see who they will play against. As the draw takes place on Friday afternoon, we take a look at which teams will play who as we give you our predictions for the UEFA Champions League semi-finals round. Barcelona will most likely draw against Juventus FC and will have a difficult time against the Italian team, but with the form Barcelona has been playing, it looks like Juventus will also have a tough time. Real Madrid will face Bayern Munich and will see a rematch of last year’s semi-final round. Both teams are excellent and will be a match you will not want to miss.
