The New York Rangers are back in the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 1994 . They’ll start the first two games at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, before returning to Madison Square Garden.
For some fans, the price may be too costly to see King Henrik and the Rangers at MSG.
Ticket prices for Game 1 in LA start at $330-$400 for the Upper Level, and almost double for Game 2 at $500-$600 for the same seats. For the Rangers fans on a budget, it is actually cheaper to fly out for Game 2, rent a hotel room, and get tickets for Game 2 then it is to get in at MSG.
The hype in New York for this Stanley Cup Finals is much more costly. If you want an obstructed view in the 400 level for Games 3 and 4, the get in price at MSG is between $1,100-1,400. The cheapest 100 Level seats start at $2,200.
You could spend the $1,000 on lower level tickets at the Staples Center in section 106, for $1,000.30 a ticket.
If you’re willing to pay a bit more, front row behind Lundqvist costs $25,555. If you want to get scammed at MSG, two tickets in section 220 row 4 are going for $1,000,501.96 each.
I’m sure you could think of a million better things to do in New York City with that million dollars than this.
All in all I’m glad I’ll be rooting for the Rangers from my couch. I’ll be curious though if those million dollar tickets sell.
