Article Written By: Alexandro H. Zatarain

What a start to the playoffs. 3 games that were pretty close (one being an amazing comeback), while the other was just a blunder. Out of the 4 teams, one may have emerged as a possible favorite to beat the odds. You decide who that dark horse is!

Below, are small descriptions of what happened this past weekend and then followed by this week’s match-ups. Vote for your winners!

A tale of two games.

After losing Jamaal Charles early in the game, Kniles Davis filled in quite nicely as the Chiefs would get up to a comfortable 38-10 in Indianapolis. I remember chatting with a buddy and telling him that this game was over as the Chiefs scored their final touchdown of the game. He disagreed.

Just as he predicted, the Colts stormed back and defeated the Chiefs in what may be one of the greatest comebacks of all time.

I wouldn’t want to say that this game was lopsided but it was definitely the one game where we needed to wait and see which Andy Dalton showed up. Unfortunately for Dalton, who didn’t show up, the Chargers defense decided to show up in dramatic fashion. Many thought it would be a close game but San Diego was just too much to handle as they went on to score 20 unanswered points in the 2nd half.

No. 5 San Francisco 49ers 23 at No. 4 Green Bay Packers 20

In what ended up being a very tight game in the first 3 quarters, ended up being a shootout in the 4th. Both teams scoring 10 points, the final 3 coming from 49ers kicker Phil Dawson as the clock expired. Did we forget to mention that at one point, Green Bay was -14 degrees?!

No. 6 New Orleans Saints 26 at No. 3 Philadelphia Eagles 24

You could swear that the Eagles were literally flying the moment Nick Foles took over at quarterback. This was quickly deflated as the very experienced Saints were able to outlast Philly. With the win, Drew Brees got his first road win in the playoffs.
