Since our last recruiting update, none of the top 20 commits have signed. This is typical as many of them are in the middle of there teams playoffs runs and like to wait till close to National Signing Day. That doesn’t mean we can give you updates and rumors we have heard, that could change everything.
Rashan Gary, DT, 5 Star
Gary is not providing many updates, but it looks even clearer that Michigan has him in there grasp. Harbaugh loves fast and explosive defensive lineman, whether he is coaching in college or the NFL. Gary fits that mold perfectly; it’s hard to imagine the Wolverines letting him leave the state.
Greg Little, OT, 5 Star
When I last posted about him, Alabama was the favorite, now Ole Miss is charging. Head Coach Hugh Freeze and his staff have been locked in on little even attending his most recent playoff game. Little has said he wont make a decision until his team’s season is over, but don’t be shocked if the Rebels snatch him up.
Dexter Lawrence, DT, 5 Star
It seemed destined that North Carolina would land his services, but Clemson has come on strong as of late. Perhaps this has to do with the Number One ranking and potential national championship. Either way, Clemson has taken the lead for his commitment.
Wole Betiku, DE, 5 Star
This is another name to keep an eye on. Notre Dame was the favorite, but that may change. Texas A&M has emerged as the leader, with John Chavis having a large impact. Coaching changes always have effect on recruits, but not just head coaches, assistants play key roles as well. Chavis’ move to A&M has helped the Aggies on the defensive front.
Once the holiday season is over, and the high school football season is finished, expect more big names to give there commitments. For the time being all we can do is speculate and hopefully accurately predict.
