Last week’s record: 9-7
Overall record: 142-98
The final week of the NFL regular season is upon us, and while most of the playoff spots have been claimed, there are still some important questions left to be answered.
Two division crowns remain up for grabs, as the Indianapolis Colts are still mathematically alive in the AFC South behind leaders the Houston Texans, even though the Colts need a LOT of help; while the Green Bay Packers will host the Minnesota Vikings in a winner-takes-all matchup for the NFC North on Sunday night.
With the Kansas City Chiefs having wrapped up one of the Wild Card positions, the race for the 2nd AFC Wild Card boils down to two scenarios – the New York Jets are in a “win and in” situation against the reeling Buffalo Bills, while the Pittsburgh Steelers need a win and a Jets loss to advance.
The New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers remain ahead of their respective conferences and can wrap up home field advantage throughout the playoffs with wins on Sunday. Should they slip up, the Denver Broncos and the Arizona Cardinals could snatch the #1 seeds away from them.
TheAOSN’s picks for the week:
A lot of meaningful matchups remain, and should make for an exciting day of football to bring the curtain down on the 2015 regular season. Thank you for keeping up with TheAOSN’s picks this season, as we hunted down a .600 mark.
Will this week take us over the hump or will we fall short? Check back with us next week as we begin our playoff coverage!
