Carlos Hyde, RB, San Francisco 49ers

Hyde ran for 168 yards on 26 carries and scored two touchdowns. His first touchdown came with less than a minute left in the first half to give the 49ers a 7-0 lead over the Minnesota Vikings. Hyde really took over in the second half and scored his second touchdown in the 4th quarter with a 17 yard run for a 17-3 lead. Hyde took the spotlight away from Adrian Peterson in the 49ers 20-3 win.

Defensive Player of the Week
Darian Stewart, S, Denver Broncos
Stewart had three tackles and one of the two Bronco interceptions. That interception came in the end zone with 28 seconds left in the game to seal a 19-13 win over his former team the Baltimore Ravens, thus earning Stewart the Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Special Teams Player of the Week

Tavon Austin, WR, St. Louis Rams
Austin returned two punts for 81 yards and a touchdown. His 75-yard punt return for a touchdown in the 3rd quarter gave the Rams a 24-13 lead in their eventual 34-31 overtime win over the defending NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks. Austin also added a rushing touchdown.
