Regular season baseball is finally back. Opening Day is officially behind us as MLB played their first ballgames in US territory of 2019. Take a look at the very best moments from the very first day of baseball.
Everybody Gets A Homer
The Dodgers did not wait long to fire up their offense this season. In fact, they came out firing at all cylinders right from the get-go as Joc Pederson went deep. He was not the only one, as the Dodgers set a new Opening Day record for long balls. Enrique Hernandez, Corey Seager, Max Muncy, Cody Bellinger and, Austin Barnes hit it out of the park. Their eight homers haelped them crush the Diamondbacks in thei first game of the season.

Cain Ends Thrilling Beer Battle
The Brewers and the Cardinals went head to head to open up the season at Miller Park. St. Louis got ahead early as a pair of homers by Kolten Wong and Harrison Bader had them out in front 3-0. It took the Brewers little time to respond as Mike Moustakas hit a home run of his own at the bottom of the second. Milwaukee eventually gained the lead of the game aided by two home runs by Christian Yelich and Jhoulys Chacin. With the score 5-4, Lorenzo Cain put an end to the ballgame robbing Jose Martinez of the tying home run.

Sailing On Dirty Water
Domingo Santana and Gordon Beckham led the way for Seattle to get their first win at home soil. The Mariners. The Mariners had a strong showing on the mound as well. Starter Marco Gonzales pitched 5 and a third innings allowing three runs to record his season win of the season. On the other hand, Chris Sale did not have his best day out on the mound. The Red Sox pitcher worked just three on the mound as he earned seven runs that ended his night earlier than expected.
