Five games have passed in the Liga MX and we could clearly see America gaining fifteen out of fifteen points possible, while Club Chivas is struggling to maintain in the first division and Club Cruz Azul going from bad to worse. It’s no doubt that Club America has the dream debut by wining all their five games and maintaining themselves as number one in the position table.
Club America: They have players that can replace Raul Jimenez like Oribe Peralta who must become the top goalscorer that we have seen over the past years in Club Santos. Although America shouldn’t get too comfortable because Atlas is only 2 points behind them and if they slip Atlas could quickly become the leader of the tournament.
Club Chivas: Has won one game lost one and tied one, and has a pending game with Leones Negros, but yet Chivas aren’t the same since they lost their friendly games, first versus AC Milan and then to Bayern Munich, from there they went on a losing streak. If they keep losing they might be going to the second division and for a lot of fans would be a huge disappointment being one of Mexico’s top 4 with Club America following them. Something needs to change in Chivas either their coach or their plays because this ins’t the Chivas team that we are used to seeing.
Club Cruz Azul: They started the season with a loss followed by two ties and finally a lucky win against Puebla, then a horrible loss against Monterrey who beat them 3-1. Cruz Azul isn’t the same since last season. They were the leaders last season and went from number 1 to number 13 tells you a lot. Mariano Pavone is the worse forward that Cruz Azul has ever hired, he has clear opportunities for goal and yet he hits the ball so badly that fans get irritated. If this continues then Cruz Azul might not be in the qualifying spots for the next round, it may be still to early to determine this but the way it’s going I don’t see them in the next round.
Overall I see America getting to confident and losing their winning streak, while Chivas will continue to struggle to gain points, and Cruz Azul still digging their grave deeper and deeper.
