Kobe Bryant has finally passed the great Michael Jordan on the all-time scoring list reaching the 3rd spot. After hitting a three pointer in tonight’s game versus the Minnesota Timberwolves with about six minutes left in the second quarter, a couple of possessions later with 5:24 left in the 2nd, Bryant received a foul and went to line to hit both of his free throws and surpassed Michael Jordan for third place all-time.

Michael Jordan played a total of 15 seasons, 13 with the Chicago Bulls and 2 with the Washington Wizards. His best scoring season was in 1986-87 when Jordan scored a total of 3,041 points, averaging 37.1 points per game.
Kobe Bryant is currently in his 19th season, all played with the Los Angeles Lakers. Bryant’s best scoring season was in 2005-06 where he scored a total of 2,832 points, averaging 35.4 points per game.
