Just one goal was enough to secure the Scudetto for Juventus with four games left, as their lead increased to 15 points over AS Roma with just 4 games remaining. Massimiliano Allegri has brought home the title for the fourth consecutive year for Juventus, who have shown they are among the best clubs in the world.

Now that the Scudetto is in the bag, they can focus on the first leg of their Champions League semifinal against Real Madrid on Tuesday. Their treble hopes are also still alive as they are set to fight for the Coppa Italia against Lazio in June.

Carlos Tevez has been a huge factor in Juventus’ success with 20 goals and 7 assists throughout the season thus far. It also helps to have a world-class midfield that includes fit and experienced veterans such as Claudio Marchisio, Andrea Pirlo, Giorgio Chiellini on the team, with Gianluigi Buffon still one of the best goalkeepers around.

Arturo Vidal showed some great enthusiasm in the beginning stages of the match and in the 32nd minute, he was rewarded by his efforts by scoring the only goal of the game. Stephan Lichsteiner’s cross met Vidal at the far post, and the Chilean finished with a firm header across the goal.

Both teams had a number of chances throughout the match. One of the more dangerous chances came from a bad back pass from Vidal that was intercepted by Samuel Eto’o, who sent the ball forward to Gonzalo Bergessio. Thankfully for Juventus, Leonardo Bonucci was there to save the day with a perfectly timed sliding tackle.

TheAOSN would like to extend congratulations to Juventus for securing their 31st Serie A title.
