Parma 1-0 Juventus
Juventus lost three points in the Serie A for just the second time. Their first loss came by the hands of Genoa in late October with the scoreline mimicking the one seen today. This is their third loss in their past 30 matches in all competitions and their first in six matches in all competitions since losing to Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia.
Carlos Tevez was left off the roster for this one, but Arturo Vidal returned to the field despite having limped off last week and almost had a goal in the 30th minute off a cross from Claudio Marchisio, but his header was denied by the Parma keeper.
Both sides had some chances throughout the match, but none were very clear. Parma found their breakthrough goal in the 60th minute as Ishak Belfoldi held the ball on the right wing and slid the ball into the path of Jose Mauri atop the 18-yard box to smash it past Gianluigi Buffon replacement, Marco Storari.
A great win for last place, Parma, but it will not help them get out of the relegation zone as they have just 16 points and are six points behind eighteenth place, ten behind seventeenth.
Without star-men like Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba, Patrice Evra and Carlos Tevez on the field, Juventus were just not the same. Their league hoped will not be in ruins though for their lead remains at 14 points, but could decrease to 11 points if Roma beats Torino on Sunday.
Juventus have a string of difficult matches in the next few weeks including; Lazio, Monaco, Fiorentina and Sampdoria. These matches will give Juventus a chance to redeem themselves and prove themselves among the best in the world. As for the Scudetto, it is safe to say that its still in the bag.
