Atletico De Madrid striker Diego Costa could possibly be out of this year’s World Cup after submerging himself into medical exams that confirmed he had a grade 1 injury in his biceps an that it takes 15 days to recover. Keep in mind that the World Cup is less than 18 days away and Spain’s manager Vicente Del Bosque is waiting to see if Costa can recover from his injury. That’s not the only problem Diego has had. In the beginning of May, Costa had suffered a slight hamstring tear that has hampered him constantly. Spain debuts in the World Cup on June 13, Del Bosque said that he will not take players that are tired or exhausted. He will only take players that are ready for more and that are fit after their friendly against Bolivia.
Diego Costa played for Atletico De Madrid for only 9 minutes and had to be removed from the field after those 9 minutes. If he doesn’t recover from his injuries, he could be saying goodbye to the World Cup. Although not everything seems bad for Costa, who’s coach is waiting for some good news to bring him aboard. If Diego doesn’t go to Brazil, than he would be joining Landon Donovan, Kaka, Ronaldinho, Moises Munoz and some few others that were left off of squads.
Will Diego be going to the World Cup?Maybe. That’s because he can recover and facing Bolivia may increase the chances of him re-injuring himself. At this point, it’s a toss-up.
