The PGA Tour made its sixth-annual trek to the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia this weekend, concluding once again with an extremely tight leaderboard at the Greenbrier Classic.

For the third time in tournament history, the $1.2 million winner was decided in a playoff; this year with a foursome standing on the 18th tee-box.

New Zealand’s Danny Lee and Canadian David Hearn cashed in on the first playoff hole each making a birdie, saying good-bye to American’s Kevin Kisner and Robert Streb, who both hit their tee-shots in the rough beyond the green.

After both players had difficulty reaching the green on 17, the second playoff hole, it was Lee’s incredible 60-foot putt getting to within 2 feet of the cup that sealed the 24-year-old’s first career professional victory.

Lee also receives an invitation to the 2015 British Open.

Hearn misses his second opportunity for a first PGA Tour win coming a week earlier than two years ago, when he lost in a playoff to U.S. Open-champion Jordan Spieth at the John Deere Classic.

The 36-year-old, along with James Hahn and Greg Owen, also qualifies for St. Andrew’s.

Lee becomes the fourth international champion on the Old White TPC, joining Angel Cabrera (Argentina), Jonas Blixt (Sweden), and Stuart Appleby (Australia).

The South Korean-born product is also the ninth first-time winner on tour this season.
