In a very surprising move, the Chicago Bears have agreed to send WR Brandon Marshall to the New York Jets for a 5th-round draft pick.
At 30-years old, Marshall is entering his 10th season in the NFL. Until an injury riddled 2014, he had seven-consecutive 1,000+ yard receiving seasons. Marshall caught 61 balls for 721 yards, both his lowest since his rookie season.

The five-time Pro Bowler looks to revive a New York Jets team that is moving on from Rex Ryan to Todd Bowles, who is coming from the Arizona Cardinals. At this moment, the Jets have Eric Decker on offense, who can prove valuable when integrating a healthy Marshall to the mix. At this point, it looks like Percy Harvin‘s days with the team are numbered but if there is any chance that they keep him, it could prove to be a very dangerous receiving corps.
Then comes the biggest question of all for the Jets. Will they stick with Geno Smith at quarterback? It is still unclear whether or not this will happen but it does seem that coach Bowles intends to keep the position competitive.
In other Jets’ news, the team announced that they have re-signed LB David Harris. According to sources, his contracts will be three years, $21.5 million, including $15 million guaranteed in the first two years.
