Current leaders Chelsea took a visit to Queens Park Rangers and were forced to pick up some points to continue their comfortable spread of points between them and Arsenal who won yesterday against Burnley, 1-0. Queens Park Rangers had to take advantage of this game, as Hull City lost yesterday. They had no choice, but to look for a victory at home that will get them out of the last three regulated places as they sit 18th with 26 points and Hull City in 17th with 28 points.
Chelsea dominated the whole game, but could not find the back of the net until a mistake by Robert Green on the 88th minute. QPR’s goalkeeper made a bad clearance that resulted in a goal by the “masked man” Cesc Fabregas, giving Chelsea the 1-0 lead and eventual victory. Robert Green made a bad clearance and the ball was quickly picked up by Eden Hazard who rushed his way on the left side and made a one two with Oscar, who paste Hazard perfectly. Hazard then laid it off to Fabregas as he was coming in from the back into the eighteen yard box. Fabregas showed great composure and placed it and sealed the victory for the Blues.
With this victory Chelsea continues to lead the Premier League with 73 points. Chelsea will have a tough battle next weekend as they face the very inspired Red Devils led by Louis Van Gaal at Stanford Bridge.
