Big Weekend for New Signings

Club football is back this weekend after a long two week international break. Many leagues will start again in 6th gear with some big games being played. Many last minute transfers may also make their debuts for their new clubs.

All three are reportedly set to make their United debuts this Sunday as Manchester United takes on ex-captain Rio Ferdinand and Queens Park Rangers. United have yet to secure 3 points this season as they look to get back in the race with their spectacular summer signings. This may also be the first time that we get to see all of United signings on the pitch together. It will be interesting to see how Louis Van Gaal makes use of his strengthened roster. It is still unconfirmed where Blind will be most utilized, but Blind says he will feel at home wherever Van Gaal needs him.

Danny Welbeck

Arsenal’s replacement signing from Manchester United for Olivier Giroud is also in line to make his debut against Manchester City on Saturday. Welbeck enjoyed a successful international break with England as he scored twice against Switzerland in their first European Championship Qualifier. Welbeck will have to prove that he can be a top forward by scoring goals, having left United after only scoring 20 goals in 90 appearances.

Once a superstar with Atletico Madrid and Liverpool FC, Torres turned into an internet laughingstock with Chelsea, and will make his AC Milan debut against Parma on Sunday. Torres leaves Chelsea having scored just 20 times in 110 appearances.

Loic Remy

The French striker could also make his debut against second place Swansea. Diego Costa could still be suffering from a hamstring injury, but may feature in the match. Both Chelsea and Swansea are undefeated with no draws, and the winner will take first place atop the Premiership. Remy scored 14 times for Newcastle last season.

The ex-Manchester United striker could make his debut for “Los Merengues” as they take on crosstown rivals, Atletico Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeau. Many believe that Hernandez will ride the bench once again, but Hernandez was the most used substitute and had one of the highest goals:game ratio in the Premiership. If Hernandez could find the net so often in the Premier League, he should have no problems in La Liga, especially with some of the best players in the world on his team feeding him the ball.

The former Ballon D’or winner, World Cup winner, and possibly the best player of this generation, is set to debut for Mexican side, Queretaro against Puebla this weekend. Although he may not be as youthful as he once was, he is sure to bring spark and fans to the Liga MX. The ex-Barcelona man has bagged a total of 273 goals and 164 assists in his career.
