Arsenal was able to conquer their eighth victory in a row against Burnley. The Gunners went on a visit to Turf Moor after beating Liverpool at home last weekend with an outstanding score of 4-1. They were seeking for another victory to keep them in second and closer to Chelsea.
Arsenal dominated the whole game and scored early in the game. Aaron Ramsey was able to score for the gunners on a lucky play, in the first eleven minutes. First a shot from Mesut Ozil was denied by the goalkeeper, then a shot by Alexis Sanchez was blocked by Burnley’s defense, and finally after Sanchez’s blocked shot, the ball luckily rebounded to Aaron Ramsey who controlled with his right thigh and blasted the ball in from close range.
Burnley came out second half looking for the equalizer, but Arsenal’s defense came out strong and denied everything from Burnley’s offensive side. Arsenal had a few opportunities in the second half to score their second one, but were not able to conquer. With this victory, it continues to place Arsenal in second place, just four points away from Chelsea. Chelsea will play Queens Park Rangers this weekend. Arsenal will not be back in action in the Premier League until Sunday, April 26th against London rivals and current leaders Chelsea for their most important game of the season.
