Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens could not quite come back as they fell to the Tennessee Titans 23-20.
What they did well
Joe Flacco threw for 261 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jeremy Maclin caught 8 passes for 98 yards while Javorious Allen and Mike Wallace had touchdown catches. The Raven defense recorded 3 sacks and had an interception while holding the Titans to just 257 yards of total offense.
Where they needed improvement
The defense did not allow a lot of yards, but they did give up 3 touchdowns. One of them was set up by an interception and one was set up by a 17 yard punt from their own 9 yard line. Those 2 touchdown drives totaled just 72 yards. Then they gave up a 75 yard drive in the fourth quarter that put the nail in the coffin.
What is Next
The Ravens have a bye in Week 10 and will travel to Green Bay to face the Packers in Week 11.
Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals went into Jacksonville and got demolished by the Jaguars, 23-7.
What they did well
Joe Mixon found the end zone for the second time this season to bring the Bengals to within 10-7 in the second quarter. The Bengals won the turnover battle, recovering a fumble and not turning the ball over. Tight end Tyler Kroft led all receivers with 79 receiving yards.
Where they needed improvement
The Bengals had a bad game. They gained a total of 148 yards on the day. In contrast, they gave up 149 rushing yards. Yes, the Jaguar ground game outgained the entire Bengal offense. The Bengals only had the ball for less than 20 minutes. Mixon was the only running back with positive yards, and he only had 31. Andy Dalton went 10 for 18 for just 136 yards in the air and he was sacked twice.
What is next
The Bengals will travel to Nashville to take on the Tennessee Titans in Week 10.
