Original Text: In what many could describe as the worst week in NFL history, things somehow just got worse.
TMZ Sports reports Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was indicted for reckless or negligent injury to a child in Montgomery County, in northern Texas.
TMZ cites the alleged victim is his son from Minnesota who was visiting Peterson back in May at Peterson’s home in Texas. When the child returned home, his mom noticed injuries and took the child to the doctor. The Doctor later contacted authorities in Texas to report Adrian.
According to Fox 26, Peterson was indicted in Montgomery Country for reckless or negligent injury to a child.
Peterson was at Vikings practice today.
With everything going on with the NFL off the field, this was the last thing the league needed. As for Peterson, it is disappointing to see a player that lots of fans around the league really respected get caught up in all of this mess but we don’t know the details yet so best not to jump to conclusions for now.
