2015 NBA Draft Live Blog
The 2015 NBA Draft takes place on Thursday, June 25 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, home of the Brooklyn Nets. A total of 47 NCAA players and 11 international players declared early eligibility for the draft, headlined by University of Kentucky stars Karl-Anthony Towns, Dakari Johnson, Willie Cauley-Stein, Andrew and Aaron Harrison, and Trey Lyles. Joining them are the three freshman who helped lead Duke University to the national championship in April, Jahlil Okafor, Justise Winslow, and Tyus Jones.
Other big names from the college ranks include Stanley Johnson (Arizona), Montrezl Harrell (Louisville), Trevor Lacey (NC State), Sam Dekker (Wisconsin), and the man whom many regard to be the best point guard prospect in this year’s draft, Ohio State’s D’Angelo Russell.
Among the foreign prospect, Emmanuel Muiday, who is actually a Texas native but from the Congo, has seen his stock rise dramatically over the last few days leading up to the draft. Croatian Mario Hezonja, currently playing for Barcelona in Spain, is regarded as the best player in Europe, and the 7′ 1″ Lithuanian who shoots 40% from 3-point range Kristaps Porzingis may prove to be a steal for a team with a lottery pick.
