After 7 weeks of NFL action a leader finally emerges in the AFC South. With a win over the Cleveland Browns, the Tennessee Titans move into first place with a 4-3 record. While the Jacksonville Jaguars also hold a 4-3 record after a win over the Indianapolis Colts, the Titans hold the tie breaker win. The Houston Texans had a bye week for week 7, which holds them in place with a 3-3 record. The Indianapolis Colts sit at the bottom with a 2-5 record. Here is a quick recap of how the action unfolded in week 7 of the AFC south.

Tennessee Titans

The Titans may lead the division, but they narrowly beat the Cleveland Browns in an overtime victory, need I say more? Okay, no one scored a touchdown in this one. Kevin Byard had three interception, one coming just before halftime, which lead to a quarterback change for the Browns. After halftime Cody Kessler lead the Browns offense and was more effective than DeShone Kizer. Marcus Mariota seemed to force the ball to Delanie Walker to often and Eric Decker had two drops in key moments. The question has to be asked if the Browns had former Titan Jason McCourty and Jabrill Peppers active would this game have gone the other way?

Jacksonville Jaguars

With Leonard Fournette out it was Chris Ivory who got the start, but it was T.J. Yeldon who exploded in this one with 9 carries for 122 yards and a touchdown. Blake Bortles also had a good day posting a QBR of 124.7 and throwing for over 300 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars 27-0 victory. On the defensive side of the ball the Jaguars had another 10 sack game. If there was any doubt before this game, the Jaguars defiantly have a top 5 defense.

Indianapolis Colts

The Colts continue to struggle being shutout by the Jacksonville Jaguars this week. Jacoby Brissett was constantly harassed in the pocket getting sacked 10 times. The ground game never found life for the Colts as Frank Gore rushing 9 times for only 32 yards. The future continues to look bleak for the Colts as Andrew Luck had a set back with his injured shoulder and it looks like he won’t be available the season.
