In a season where the Los Angeles Dodgers have plenty of new faces, it has been a player who has been with the team since 2012 that has had one of the most amazing starts to an MLB season. Adrian Gonzalez is not only the Dodger player to hit a home run in the first three games in a season, but he has also become the first player in MLB history to have five home runs in the season’s first three games.

It comes as a surprise to most of how well Gonzalez has began the season, but lets keep in mind that Gonzalez led the MLB in RBIs last season with 116 and he has shown some power throughout his career as well as he hit 27 home runs last year and had a career high 40 home runs hit in 2009 when he was still a member of the San Diego Padres.

And so it was against the Padres who he had a great day against. Adrian Gonzalez went 4 for 4 with 3 home runs and 4 RBIs leading the Dodgers to a 7-4 victory and a series win. Gonzalez now has 10 hits, 5 home runs, 7 RBIs, a .769 batting average, and a 2.846 OPS in only the first three games of this young season.

Adrian Gonzalez has now captured the attention of every baseball fan and every pitcher around the league. He is on pace to hit an unrealistic 200+ home runs, which will not happen, but if he can continue this production, he might have one of his best season’s in his career. It will be entertaining to see how pitchers adjust to this hot streak as they shall beware of Adrian Gonzalez.
